Great shot of this brand new our Latvian Shipping tanker! 3 more sister-ships were launched this year in Croatia - Puze, Targale,Jurkalne. All of them are named after small district or villages in Ventspils port region. Ventspils was the biggest oil-exporting port in the former USSR times. An interesting story also was written about ANCE in November 2006. 2 canadians were rescued by the crew 400 miles off Canada encountered very rough weather. I don't know whether it was written in foreign press but here in Latvia it was known from TV and newspapers. Tanker's Godmother who lives in Ventspils has visited the ship while she was here in December to express her gratitude as well as Canadian Embassy in Latvia.
