Description:

The highlight of my day, although she didn't make it easy for me... Just before she reached Rüschpark at Finkenwerder where I was waiting (i.e. just before I could actually see her) she made a turn on the Elbe and sailed to Pella Sietas shipyard at Neuenfelde instead of proceeding to Hamburg harbour. But not on my watch! :-)

So here she is - SATURN at Pella Sietas shipyard, seen from Cranzer Hauptdeich, Hamburg-Neuenfelde, 05.09.2017

No, no, Denis. I guess the reason is that they realized they forgot to turn right at Neuenfelde... The box at the port side? Well, I've heard that only the master is allowed to open it which he does every morning. Inside there's a sheet of paper with two lines written on it:

"Port side - left"
"Starbord - right"

:-))

Henk, thankfully the shipyard isn't too far away from Rüschpark. The only problem was the traffic - evening rush hour.

Thank you both for your nice and amusing comments!

Cheers
Jens

Worth to make an extra trip for her Jens! Still a beauty in good condition. Won't tell my wife! Thanks for sharing and your extra trip!!

I'd say she was trying to get away from such a maniac as you, Jens!
Glad she's still around (11 years after I saw her in my hometown) despite her age & current times, although slowly getting upgrades - masts changed, hydraulic crane added & now a superstructure got additional box at the port side - I wonder what's in it?
Top shot, Jens!

Regards,
Denis
