Thank you for the compliment, Andrew, glad you like this my photograph, though it was actually my first (test) shot with my *new* lens Nikkor 70x300mm + polarizer for the first time on my lens.
Cheers with all the best wishes from Rijeka,

Hi Jadran ( otherwise known as CKC )
How about delving into your archives and give us some interesting pictures from the past, you must have lots of them, Modern shipping is good to photograph but those gems from the past are worth their weight in gold.
Come on Jad, let see them.
your friend from the Mid Mediterranean island of Malta.

Hi Emmanuel my dear friend and dedicated teacher for my first posts onto Shipspotting.com,, nice to hear from you again,, and YES indeed,, CONTAINERSHIPS (mostly),, and the very major reason is that I live in an apartment which is not far away (and is above) the *container terminal*, and consequently to that, I shoot many photos of containerships from my BOTA >> and therefore, might have become, as you say, the CKC (lol);
My very best regards to you my dear friend and to your lovely homeplace Malta,
Jadran

Thank you, Volker my dear "old" friend!

Just to explain the whole "story":
This was my very first, actually the TEST photo with my *new* lens + polarizer fitted on my camera Nikon D5200.
And moreover, this was a "last moment" shot , to be more precise "grab camera & shoot", because within the several next seconds the ship had been obstructed (on the Portside) by the shore container crane "leg".
Seems that I have had very much luck in this case, considering the both above mentioned circumstances!!

My very best regards from much rainy Rijeka (no photography possible today!),
Jadran
