Description:

Sand dredger FALLERON (IMO8434348) proceeding up stream at high tide, on the River Aulne near Brest, on March 5th 1992. She will discharge her sand at Landerneau.
1937- She was built as German WELLE.
1939 - Used by the Kriegsmarine.
05/1945 - She is at Saint-Nazaire. Taken by French Gouvernement.
1950 - Renamed FALLERON as supply/transport for the French Navy (A614)
1977 - Decommissioned and sold for civil use. Keep her name FALLERON, and converted as sand catcher. Based in Brittany.
2006 - Sold and renamed KARTHALA, flag Comores. Converted to carry general cargo.
10/2006 - Leaves Brest bound to Africa.
