She had been carrying 160,000 tons of iron ore pellets from Sept-Iles, Canada to the Clyde. During wild weather deck cracking was noted and on 20/11/1986 she took shelter in Bantry Bay. After six days there the anchor cable parted and with steering gear damaged, she became a danger to the crude carrier "CAPO EMMA", also sheltering. The decision was made to put to sea and then abandon ship. She broke up on grounding on The Stags and is now a recreational dive site.

Single screw diesel engine. Service Speed:15.5knots.
