Hello Rick, I've been living in Las Palmas for over 8 years (1982-1990). Actually I live at Santa Cruz, where I was born. Fortunately, as you know, isn't difficult to move between the islands, therefore, a couple of years ago, I used to travel every weekend to Las Palmas to meet some friends there to visit the always busy Puerto de La Luz: from Reina Sofia breakwater dock, Astican, etc., to Maritime Station at Santa Catalina pier. Unnecessary to say that no floating object could escape to our cameras. Best regards trenor.

Trenor, nice to see AstiCan from the 1980's; the area where the 'Zhitomir' sits, has been reclaimed and dveloped, as I expect you know.
One question: as your photos are usually from SC de Tenerife, were you on board a ship here?
