Well done Husni for solving the name.
Trygve, the 'pipes' are piles forming the foundations of the massvive East Port Said port development.
The ferry location in your photo is HERE , and if you zoom out just a short way, you can see the outline and even the 'piles' of the huge new container port.

Thanks adenanthos for Your thoughts about egyptians building a bride, here in the Northern part of the Suez canal, close to the container terminal in Port Said (East). I could see at lot of construction works in this area, also these huge "vertical pipe lines" being pressed down. But I am uncertain if they are building a new bridge for crossing the Suez Canal. I cannot find anything about it on the internet. But I hope I am wrong.

Thanks, davidships for the FORUM clearing Arabic ship names. I am trying, so far, without success.

Sorry, I do not read Arabic names, neither on this ferry, nor on the others I pictured on my passage through the Suez Canal. I see some ferries in the Suez canal are classified as mystery ship.

I don't think they have any names. Just had a look on the net. There's something written on the bridge but my Arabic is limited to zero !
