Description:

USA-Navy. Comfort. Seen here in the immediate aftermath of 911 Terrorist Attack. This 1,000 bed Hospital Ship entered harbor on Sept 12th with the mission of helping an overflow of injured, but the catastrophic nature of what happened left mostly
uninjured survivors and those that perished. Comfort did however provide logistical support for initial recovery and rescue efforts. New York, Sept 2001.
