Description:

Shrimper "Capt. Keit" in Turner's Creek, Savannah, GA. It looks like a misspelling, but the name was spelled that way on the bow in a 2010 newspaper article, where the boat was still afloat but reported sinking.

I just did some looking, and through the magic of the internet, it corrected my spelling, and I'm quite sure this is actually CAPTAIN KIET (ON 272299). There's a good story on the sinking at https://www.savannahnow.com/article/20100818/NEWS/308189754. You'll note it describes her as a 75-footer, but she certainly looks more like a 48-footer, which CAPTAIN KIET was, and the photo of her from the article (with the name CAPT. KIET) clearly shows the radar in this photo. If I'm right, she was built in 1956 by Diesel Engine Sales (predecessor to Desco Marine) and was originally CAPT. CONNIE. Later names were JENNY LYN and JULIENE.

Yes- it's across from the Frank W Spencer boat ramp, just past the drawbridge.

Probably fishing boat CAPTAIN KEITH (ON 274917), built at Supply, North Carolina as H&W NO. 2 in 1957. Docs expired July 2010.

Is this along the main road from Savannah to Fort Pulaski?
