CP VALOUR - Salvage 29 August All the containers from CP Valour are moved out. The covers of the bilge and the complete motor are also moved out from the ship .
The jack-up barge MEB-JB1 left already the place today and came to our port to unmount the mast of the crane to something the half of the size so than she can be towed to other place ( probably to Lisbon ).
At the beginning this barge came from Holland , passed in the port of Brest in France and then in Vigo before she came to Azores.
The barge Atlante I is moving today from the place were the ship is grounded to our port to load around 150 containers that are in our port container terminal ( park ) moved the first load in the barge VERVECE. ( The second load of this barge is already transported to Lisbon last month ).
The barge VERVECE will go to the place to help on towing the boat with the winches mounted on the barge.
The refloat work with air will begin in a few days and at the place is Known that this work will be made between 4 and 9 of September. If not sucedded probably the boat will be dismantled ( only next year, also depends on the weather conditions ) . At the place it´s also known that if the ship has the structure very damaged and can not float safely and be towed to Lisbon it will be sunken at a minium depth of 50 meters .
