Brocklebank SS Manaar anchored at Trincomalee in May 1964,loading tea destined for Glasgow from barges using steam winches and cargo nets. The cargo handlers could suffer unpleasant injuries slicing themselves on the sharp tin covered edges of the packing cases when scrambling over them. The containers have become a bit larger since those wonderful days.
