Hi Captain Ted. Beautiful and interesting shot. Sunny day at Cristobal...Interesting angle. Congratulations.
BTW talking about Veracruz, agree with you. Is a good port with the downtown really close to the piers. I had good times (in the early 80s) at Los Portales area close to the city main square...
MBregards.

This story about shore passes made me remember my own: having nothing to do with the crew or the authority to issue them, I've still signed hundreds (if not more) of shore passes, and I've seen a certain number of my passengers not return to the vessel... Ah, the charm of Venice... :)

Cheers

Vlad

@ Mattyboy,, sure anyone can go ashore as long the duties are covered to run the show during discharging. And yes, some years back one jumped ship in US

@Captain Ted, will you be assigning liberty passes to your crew in Mexico ?
Have you ever had crew who didn't return to vessel ?

@mattyboy,,,if the trip would not be so short,,yes. However Veracruz is a good port,,crew can go easy ashore and the downtown area is in walking distance tp the city sqaure
