I noticed someone in the Admin group changed title subject photo back to "HMCS" which prompted me to include additional information as follows...….

In regards to Jarrod David's comment, on-line sources reveal the following...…"The Orca-class patrol vessels replaced the YAG300 class and operate as training platforms and surveillance craft."

"The Orca-class patrol vessels are not commissioned and as such do not receive the prefix "Her Majesty's Canadian Ship (HMCS)".

Other on-line sources reveal.... "the designation Her Majesty's Canadian Ship (HMCS) is applied as a prefix to surface ships in the Royal Canadian Navy and Canadian Joint Operations Command".

So, which is it....? There seems to be some ambiguity as to which designation applies to the Orca-class vessels...?
I've uploaded 4 or 5 of the Orca-class vessels on this site. Appreciate if someone out there would confirm proper designation...

Thanks in advance...

FYI....There are 8 steel hulled Orca-class vessels in the fleet....

Awesome photo! This class of ship is known as PCT not HMCS. They are not commissioned so they are not given the HMCS designation. She is Patrol Craft Training or PCT Orca. Great photos.
