Description:

29/01/2018, another costly white elephant laid up at Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain.

Since 2014 the vessel was contracted on a lucrative 3 year charter to the American Noble Energy company, deepwater drilling off Israel in the Leviathan gas field.
Drilling was to commence immediately, but a 3 year delay occurred due to Israeli discussions and disputes.

The daily rate was $581,000 per day.

Noble Energy terminated the contract early, causing the drillship's current unemployment.

Check out those ultra skinny mooring lines.
I have not seen such narrow diameter lines on such a large vessel.
