I'm not sure I'd like to be aboard a ship where the captain doesn't know how to use the AIS system properly, but it seems to be par for the course for small, local vessels in SE Asia.

The vessel with name TIAN HE Imo: 8311857 shown on her AIS is this one: http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=2925384 I spoke with the captain onboard but he had no idea why the name TIAN HE was shown and he did not know how to change it to THE POSEIDON :-)
I note that 8311871 - Tian Yun appears to be the sister vessel of the 8311857 - Tian He. Can find no AIS or Photos to confirm, but wonder if this could be this vessel ?

This ship quite unlike the other one, still labelled TIAN HE (but not confirmed)
