Description:
Cargo vessel 'Betanzos', under tow, preparing to moor at the TMB/Beato quay after having been freed from a sand bank near Bugio (Lisbon harbour South entrance), where she was grounded and exposed to high waves for 10 long days. A tilting of some 15-18 degrees of the superstructure to port side is perfectly noticeable.
Salvage was atteined thanks to the persistent efforts of the ocean tug 'Fairmount Alpine' (IMO 9344784), called in by the Owner for the purpose.
