Thanks for the update, gentlemen. I think I prefer to remember them as they were - working port installations. The situation in London is the same. Most of the once-bustling riverside wharves have now been converted to - or replaced by - "yuppie" flats, apartments that only the wealthy can afford. A trip up the Thames nowadays makes me quite depressed. But that's progress and changing times, I suppose.

Bob, A lot of those warehouses are now part of the Speicherstadt which are now apartments and businesses. No idea though if these ones belong to them

I haven't been in Hamburg since 1987 so I suppose the old wareheouses are long gone, too.
