Tanker Charter Company (B.P.)'s 1957 Sir J.Laing, Sunderland, built tanker BRITISH VIGILANCE is seen passing Portishead, inbound for Avonmouth, fifty years ago tomorrow, on 19th April 1968.
BRITISH VIGILANCE had a relatively short life, being laid up at Rosyth on 14th January 1972 and arriving at Vinaròs near Castellón in Spain on 15th February 1973 in tow of the Norwegian tug Sinader.
