Thank you Steve, much appreciated, the link you sent to me checks out and this could indeed be the USS NEWPORT NEWS SSN 750. The link briefly details her visit to HMNB Clyde and the date appears to tally. (Operation Joint Warrior 2018 should run from 23/04/2018 > 03/05/2018).
