I'm glad that this pic brought back nostalgic memories for you. The captain was a bit of a lothario; he had a fancy car on the fore deck which used to be unshipped at our Aussie ports so that he could squire around his girlfriends [in each port].

Lovely picture, which brings back a memory the opposite of this view. Long ago I had made the journey down to Tilbury to see Angelina Lauro depart. It was a miserable evening with the thunder storm circling around. The light was dreadful for photography. The ship let go her rope and begun to move away from the landing stage, the song Angelina was blearing out over decks - deserted except for one couple. On the landing stage there was just me - the men handling the ropes had gone to get out of the rain. It was a rather sad and bleak moment and I never saw Angelina again.
