Hi Phil,

what an interessting vessel. The hull is definitively a product of the shipyard Hugo Peters in Wewelsfleth/Germany. The wheelhouse seems to be a dutch construction. Do you have some more info's about her? The only I have found is the following:

1971 Duivendijk,Lekkerkerk/Z92
Gearless Ship 1977

SASSABY-83;
Saby-90;
Dalgo-03, Ans Korntransport II, Nor;
Houda F-, dto, Bol

More info wanted!

rgds from Rendsburg/Germany

Hi Arne,

Hereby I send some information about the Sassaby. She's since 2003 sailing as Azeza Moon for the same owner. When you give me your emailadress I'll send you a image with new building information.

Greetings from

Hi Arne,

Thanks for the info. I see what you mean about the similarity with Hugo Peters built vessels, such as the Kiefenberg and Graebe ships, as per John Jones's photo here http://www.shipspotting.com/uploads/photos/87479.jpg

However, as you mention, the Sassaby was definately built in Holland. Unfortunately, I don't have an explanation, but maybe Hugo Peters licensed the building to the Dutch yard using their hull plans.

Phil
