Hi Jim,
The large objects over the deck are special cranes with a cover. This cover protected the cargo during (un)loading process against rain or snow when the decks of the bulker are open.

Hi Jim,
She does always her best to shoot nice pictures, but sometimes is the weather conditions not ideal for nice shipphotography.
It's the light that makes the pictures! :lol:

Ok....maybe you can help me out I ran across two photos just a few minutes ago they are numbers---257100----257105---can you tell me what the large objects are over the decks of both ships they are rather high almost in line with the top of the after house.They seem to have some sort of cover over them.What are they used for and are they portable?I have seen them in other photos as well and have never encountered any thing like it over here as I see a lot of ocean going bulkers here .If they are a part of the ship where do they go when she is at sea?

Freger:Excellent shot as all of yours are I,m just new to this but I just can,t seem to stay away .This takes up most of my day with any spare time I have you guys have some increable stuff on here.I wish I could capture some of the shots you guys have.I can go about half hour from my place and get some shots but the Salts are a bit to far out in the channel to be clear enough to post on here so I have to wait till I can take a trip down river and stay a couple of days witch is comming up in October will post as many as I can then...once again good job you guys...Bravo!!! :-D
