- Built in 1901 by Peterswerft, Wewelsfleth, Germany as the pilot schoner no. 1 "CUXHAVEN"
- Operational area was the Elbe estuary
- Decommissioned in 1929
- In 1930 rebuilt (yacht rigging, new interior, motorized) and renamed ATALANTA
- In 1950 sold to banking house M. M. Warburg, Brinkmann Wirtz & Co.
- In 1995 the banking house gives the vessel as a donation to friends' association "Schoner Atalanta"
- In 2001 she re-entered service after serveral years of restauration...
