Hi Csaba, this location was maybe couple of hundred meters away. It's a 10-storey "officetel" building, with small one- and two-room units on top floors, and a nice flat roof with a park and some benches, obviously not designed as an "off-limits" area. That morning on the roof (open and accessible) I was not even the only one taking photos, as there were people with far better equipment there. However, couple of hours later, the doors to the roof area were locked, and I even had a feeling of the cold electric eye of the lens of a CCTV camera observing me as I checked the doors... :)
So, I went one level below, and managed to take some photos from a corridor window, only to be interrupted by a security guy that appeared running toward me shouting something to the effect of "NO! NO! NO!..." :)
As he explained to me (the encounter was not unpleasant), the police has prohibited using the building for taking photos of that very spot - which, of course, did not extend to the port entrance side / street level, as there were hundreds of people taking photos, myself included.
