Thank you very much my friend. Sorry, for not entering to much in the Shipspotting site. Well, now as Cruise Ausonia the Superfast XII and about Mykonos Palace, rumours say that the will rename her to her first name "Europa Palace". Well, she is not coming anymore to Patra and in 16 of this month, she will start her duties from Piraeus to Chania and back. We will see...

P.S.
(I would still travel with ANEK by the way hahahah)

Best regards :D

Hi Dimitris,

you're welcome. Thank YOU for the kind and very interesting information! Excellent news refering to the Greek flag! A new name once again? interesting. You have an idea, what could this name be?

Yes, she is a fabulous vessel, I completely agree with you. Just loved her from the very first second. For me her only "true" name is the original name "Europa Palace". Together with Olympia Palace probably the best ferry that has ever been operating on the Patras-Igoumenitsa-Ancona line. In addition, I think, that - together with her sisters - she belongs to the world's fastest conventional ferries. I remember crossings with her at over 30,5 knots. Truly amazing for a ferry of her size.

For the moment, I noticed, the vessel is serving the Brindisi route. I read, that she replaces the FLORENCIA which went to the Civitavecchia-OLbia route until SUPERFAST XII joins the Grimaldi fleet. Can you confirm this? Thank You!

PS: By chance, I was travelling with Europa Palace at its very last crossing for Minoan Lines before the charter to CIN in July 2012. Lucky me. ;-) Now, I really hope that, just after six years, I will manage to travel with her again later this year!

Greetings to always beautiful Greece
Florian

Dear Florian

Days ago she started the line Patras - Igoumenitsa - Ancona, in order to assist the Cruise Europa. Soon, they said that she will change again name and she will go to the Piraeus - Chania.

Sadly, she won't be in the line of Euroferry Corfu but the two Minoan Lines Cruise will they connect Venice.

Recently, she took again the greek flag and the registry port "Heraklion" (I think). Now, we are waiting more news for the line and for the Highspeed ferry.

Since, 2008 my father was working there...and it was the best ferry I have ever been..(I also cried watching her back...one more beautiful memory I have ever collected in my life!

Thank you very much!!!
See you soon
Dimitris K.

Great to see her back!!! Good old EUROPA PALACE. I enjoyed so many crossings in the Adriatic Sea on this wonderful ferry. This combination of luxury and speed is simply amazing!

Thank you for the nice photo, Dimitris!! Brings back memories.

Do you know, when MYKONOS PALACE will start sailing? So far, she is still not visible in the booking engine.

And another question: Do you think, that she maybe will replace the EUROFERRY CORFU (which will be chartered to Corsica Linea) on the Venice-Igoumenitsa-Patras route during summer season?

Thanks in advance! Best regards
Florian
