She was built 1953 at New Orleans, LA, by Higgins Industries, Inc., for the U. S. Army as *LT 1964,* hull no. 11645. Transferred to the U. S. Navy in 1963, she became *Naugatuck YTM 753* and was assigned to New York City Harbor. The navy sold her in October 1974 to Eklof Transportation Co., Inc., New York, NY, and was renamed *Norseman* and rebuilt into the configuration shown the following year. In 1998 she was sold to Capt. Lee Towing LLC, Harvey, LA.
