She was built 1953 at New Orleans, LA, by Higgins Industries, Inc., for the U. S. Army as *LT 1964,* hull no. 11645. Transferred to the U. S. Navy in 1963, she became *Naugatuck YTM 753* and was assigned to New York City Harbor. The navy sold her in October 1974 to Eklof Transportation Co., Inc., New York, NY, and was renamed *Norseman* and rebuilt into the configuration shown the following year. In 1998 she was sold to Capt. Lee Towing LLC, Harvey, LA. She was dropped from American documentation on 29 February 2000. 101ft x 26.7 x 12.6; 241 gt, 164 nt; 6-cyl Fairbanks, Morse Diesel, 16in x 20, 1200-bhp.
