Die Pollux wurde nur für die Verwendung als stationäres Schulschiff gebaut.
Sie hat einen flachen Boden und kann nicht segeln. Sie dient dem International Maritiem Training Instituut Nederland als Ausbildungsschiff.

POLLUX was built as a stationary training vessel for the Dutch merchant marine. Because of her very shallow draft she never could be used under sail.
