Sugar Line’s 1960 Cammell, Laird (Birkenhead) built CRYSTAL SAPPHIRE, which had been lengthened in 1965, is seen passing Gravesend outbound from London for Churchill on 26th July 1968.

She finally arrived at Kaohsiung on 7th March 1983 for breaking

With an opposed-piston, Doxford engine, she would indeed have been one to sort the men out from the boys if the boys had never worked with an engine of that type before

I sailed with a Chief Enginer who said that she was a ship that "separated the men from the boys"
I believe that she was sold to Argentina
