Hi..
Thanks for the comments.
It didn't dive like a sub.. :-D ...it remain on the surface.. :-)
Since you lived in Esbjerg years ago, you can also remember how the harbour in the season could be filled with full (over)loaded vessels...and the good smell of money was in the air.. :-D
Since then the fishmeal factory have spent millions of kroner to reduce the smell. Today you can't hardly smell anything..

Yeah, thats true, i worked sometime at the mærsk offshoreterminal, and the winds indeed brought with some... Rather special smells. Some good memories from esbjerg! There was a rather... Brown bodega after the fanø - terminal, do you remember its name?

Hi Ghazten
Yes I think I remember that bodega, it must be "Gammel Havn". In 1984 I was in practic onboard supply vessel "Maersk Traveller" and I remember short time before departure some of the deckcrew came directly from "Gammel Havn" in a condition, which I presume wouldn't be tolerated today.. :-D
Regards
Ole.. :-)

Hehe! Nice.. I have written a book that takes place in esbjerg. I thougt it was named "lanternen", but gammel havn might be right. if you can read norwegian i can email it to you if you like. The guys there at gammel havn was pretty hardcore, hehe!
