|I was very pleased to come across the shot of her at Vancouver for drydocking; she was one of the most technically advanced vessels built on the Clyde for many years and really went totally unsung.
She was built at the Govan shipyard in Glasgow under the auspices at that time of the Kvaerner Group and was to be a Command Ship for the Boeing SeaLaunch Project in which she transported rockets to a launch site in the Pacific (a converted oil platform) and acted as Command Centre for the subsequent launch of the rocket.
This shot was taken in 1996 as construction went ahead for eventual launch in December of that year.
