Description:

Fire Department New York (FDNY) fire boat participating in the 2018 Fleet Week Parade of Ships on the Hudson River. Pictures were taken from Pier 86.
Built in Panama City FL, she was completed in 2010 and replaced the John D. McKean at Marine Company 1 at Pier 53 on the Hudson River. She has a maximum speed of 18 knots, weighs 500 tons, and is 140 feet long. She has a crew of 7 and can pump up to 50,000 gallons per minute, has multiple water monitors and an elevated water tower, and can carry-launch-and retrieve a smaller fast response boat. She and her sister ship Firefighter II are the largest fire boats in the US.
