Description:

Lead ship of the class of largest US Army powered water craft.
She is a logistic support vessel capable of using beaches and other non harbor locations for landing and embarking supplies.
She was put in service in 1988, weighs over 4000 tons full load, is 273 feet long, draws 12 feet of water, and has a top speed of 11.5 knots. Her crew numbers 31 and she has a loaded range of 6500 knots. She can carry up to 15 M1A1 Main Battle Tanks or 82 Standard ISO Containers.
Taken as she passes Fort Monroe Hampton VA going west after leaving Little Creek Naval Amphibious Base going towards Norfolk VA.
