I'd follow your guess, Vlad.
Charterer's preferred flagging, perhaps - Greek flag seems the standard choice for Maran.
The next one, PASCAGOULA VOYAGER also listed with Bahamas flag, but the follow-on EL SEGUNDO VOYAGER, HOUSTON VOYAGER and SAN RAMON VOYAGER all still listed for Greek flag.

Thanks for your comment, Volodymyr. I've heard that Chevron insists on scrubbers for its fleet; my colleagues also say that this baby has one.

Did she also with Scrubber's fitted? Nice photo like always, Thanks for sharing. Best Regards. Volodymyr

Thanks for the info, Herbert. I understand that the concept of "dual flag" is a financial/legal maneuver used during vessel registration, but I've never seen a vessel with two different homeports marked on her hull - there's only one flag used at any moment, with provisions to change the flag at hand. Pretty much like the multiple Load lines / Plimsoll marks: all are marked on the hull, but only the actual one is visibly painted.
Anyway, I think I just caught her in the moment when they changed her flag from Greece to Bahamas (my guess)...

Hi Vlad,

This is IMO 9827683. To be deliverd in September. She is for Maran Tankers, but on long T/C to Chevron, hence the name. Maybe she is going for dual flag, but I have no confirmation of this (other than yours ... :-) )

BTW, nice image, thanks for posting the breaking news...

Best regards,
