Description:

FRANQUELIN - 21 June 1986 - Once a familiar ship in the Welland Canal, she was photographed while entering the Canal from Lake Ontario at Port Weller, Ontario, Canada.. She was destined for Port Stanley on Lake Erie where she later loaded another of her many cargoes of grain.. Photo by Jeff Cameron..

She was built at Port Weller Drydocks in 1955 as GRIFFON. Renamed FRANQUELIN in 1967, EVA DESGAGNES in 1987 and then TELCHAC in 1989 after she had been sold for off-lakes use.. On 14 September 1992 she arrived at Tuxpan, Mexico where she was subsequently cut up for scrap..
