Description:

FAIRLOAD (Holland - IMO 7367952) - July 1982 - Photographed while she was sailing downbound in the Welland Canal approaching Glendale bridge in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada.. She was built in Holland in 1973/74 as FAIRLOAD. Renamed HAMILTON K in 1991 then SALLY RENE in 1995. On 30 March 2007 she arrived at a scrapyard in Georgetown, Guyana for demolition.. Photo by Capt. These two a little smaller Mattyboy, The Marijke Irene and the Happy Pioneer beached once or twice at Gelliswick Beach, Milford Haven in the early 70s with the delivery of cracking towers for the construction of the then Amoco Refinery now the oil storage site Puma Energy.

Superb photo Jeff. I have to say, she's probably the smallest heavy lift vessel I think I've ever seen.
