As of July 2018 there are a total of 42 Valemax vessels in service with another 2 dozen on order/under construction. Ref Geir Vinnes link..... the Jahre Viking is considered the heaviest vessel ever with greatest deadweight tonnage ever recorded (displacement of 657,000 tonnes).

Matty ... there are aproximately 30 ore vessels or this size on service. They received the nickname CHINA MAX and VALEMAX.
