(Managers: Purvis Shipping Co Ltd, London); 1963-Managers changed to Lambert Brothers (Shipping) Ltd, renamed LEADENHALL; 1964-to Westriver Ore Transports Ltd, renamed LÜBECK; 1968-VAINQUEUR (as photo); 1959- sank 134 miles southwest of South Pass, position 27.21N x 90.30W, in Gulf of Mexico, on March 15, after explosion in boiler room; one life lost. Was on voyage, Vera Cruz, Mexico, for New Orleans, LA, with 20,000 tons sugar.
