Allo Matty; your comments remind me of some photos that I made while my cruise ship was moored in Civitavecchia and when nearly all pax where running in buses, to Rome. Not being a particuliar fan of the pope, I spent a very enjoyable day aboard looking at tugs passing by and longshormens cutting through some pallets full of fresh fruits, arriving to my ship by trucks, to my ship in order to have their breakfeast...

They do use local contractors , idk how it stored, but they use helicopters and high lines to transfer it to other ships underway, so they don’t have to leave station to come in port. Kinda a floating supermarket.

So is it like how the cruise ships get resupplied when they visit certain ports ? They have their own containers filled with food that are shipped out to the port.

She is primarily dry cargo. Provisions, ammunition, and other supplies. Does have limited fuel and water supplies for transfer.
