Description:

The 2008 Jiangyin built BC14 type bulk carrier ZAPOLYARYE is seen off Ceuta on 18th July 2018 following her arrival from Tarragona on 1st July, it is believed loaded with a cargo of salt. She still remains at anchor there today, 1st September.

She arrived at Motril in September 2018 having been abandoned at Ceuta as Murmansk Shipping Co. ran into difficulties. The port authority at Motril made a number of attempts to dispose of her through auction and a sale to UK-based interests was reported in March 2022. Renamed DSM STAR with Palau registry she is yet to depart Motril. Africa Express Ltd. of U.K.'s Romanian company are reported as technical managers.
