Thanks davidships for coming back with your update, also well done on tracing Erik & James.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of their employment, these craft are very difficult to locate. Even if you are lucky enough to see one, unless you can get close enough to read its name board, its impossible to identify. Thank you both for the information.

Revisiting this as, although the earlier lists are believed to have been the intention and mostly based on official sources, some things definitely changed.

Firstly, Brian, you may well have been right all along about HUNTER. She cannot be ex-ERIK as she was sitting on-shore at the old J S White yard at Cowes in May 2019 and apparently still there - visible from the Floating Bridge - https://tinyurl.com/yxv3g2df

And it seems that JAMES was never taken up as she has recently been sold to Safety Boat Services, King's Lynn, registered at Lowestoft, and renamed SBS PROTECTOR (seen recently still in orange colours and ARRC-06 poorly painted over)

So these two probably are likely to have been the intended ASTUTE and ARDENT. But that is speculative.

Thanks for the confirmation chaps, Its my source of info that is confusing things AISLive still shows Hunter as 9335563, although not seen for 1818 days.
Does anyone where these are based. I've only seen Eagle & Nimrod in my part of the country (South Devon)

Are we sure about the previous identity of this vessel. I have HUNTER listed, as ex ARRC-03 PAUL,imo 9335563.
Of the 8 craft built, I have the Border Force names for 6 of them, but not the former Erik ARRC-01 or Euan ARRC-05. Can anyone confirm if they were also taken over.
