Nile River arrived in southeast Queensland in late July to work on the Sunshine Coast Expansion Project. It has become a regular sight making three trips a day dredging sand in the Spitfire Channel in Moreton Bay and taking it 28 nautical miles north to the airport site where it pumps the sand 5 kilometres to where the fill is needed. The dredging is now almost finished.
