The beautiful NORDSTJERNEN is seen here making a 180° turn at Rendsburg/Germany to return to the locks at Kiel-Holtenau. Adverse weather conditions on the North Sea prevented her to sail to the island of Helgoland as planned, so she made a short trip from Kiel to the famous railway bridge at Rendsburg before departing to Denmark.

Hello Tomas, thanks a lot for providing this link, I've just watched and very much enjoyed this video. A truly wonderful tribute to a wonderful ship showing her dedicated crew and her shiploving passengers. May she sail on for many years to come !

I had hoped that you were aware of her visit and saw her from another location along Kiel Canal, Volker, it was really a great sight...Perhaps she will make another transit on the Kiel Canal soon ? At the moment she is still at Gdansk, let's see where she's destined for after departure.
