MORAN Towing Corporation tug assisting the container ship AS Vega as she leaves the Hampton Roads area on October 7th 2018.
She was tied to her stern and seem to be trying to give additional steering power as she leaves or maybe preventing the tide from getting the ship too fast. Maybe a reader can advise?
She is a Z-Drive Type Tractor Tug and appears to be equipped with firefighting and foam monitors.
Note the "M" on her stack is painted pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month of October.
