The 1962 Lodose built CORTIA is seen passing Avonmouth's south pier, inbound for Bristol City Docks, on 29th March 1966.

Built in 1962 in Lodose, Sweden, as CORTIA she had been a regular visitor to Bristol City Docks in the 1960's.

Between 1966 and 1971 she was operated as CORTIAN on Ellerman Lines services while owned by Mossgiel S.S. Co. Ltd - manager: John Bruce & Co (Shipping) Ltd of Glasgow.

Between 1971 and 1974 she once again sailed as the Swedish owned,Skarhamn registered, CORTIA

Sold to Italy in 1974, she became:

1974: AUSTERITY
1978: BRUNO ALPINA of Bari, whose owners converted her into a livestock carrier
1984: SIBI FOGGIA, still of Bari

She was sold in 1996 to Eastern Mediterranean owners who operated her under the Belize flag as NEHMET ALLAH until becoming FIGHTER II in 1997 and MADAR I in 1999.
