She is listed by the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy as a destroyer as a member of the Moudge class, but most naval experts list her as a frigate as the design appears to be a development of the 1970s Alvand class.
As near as I can determine she did suffer a severe accident in January 2018 and may not be reconstructed, however current information on her is somewhat hard to find and this may be incorrect.
