Recently transferred over from West Coast Canada (BC). Original homeport was Powell River, BC (Then Campbell River..?). Named after Cape Edensaw (Queen Charlotte Land District) in British Columbia. 54° 5’ 54” N - 132° 26’ 18” W.

The Cape Edensaw replaces the CCGS COURTENAY BAY which was previously stationed in Saint John and was recently transferred to another Maritime branch. According to Marine Traffic rescue vessel now located in Clarks Harbour on the south shore (tip) of Nova Scotia.
