She is the lead of a class of three. Further production will not occur and the Arleigh Burke class has been restarted. Supposedly the shape is for stealth purposes. Very reminiscent of Civil War ironclads, IMHO. The navy has decided to not buy ammunition for the main guns, limiting their usefulness. Probably newer naval designs will have similar features, at least in some part.

Not sure whether to like it or not?? Is she a prototype? If not, then I guess the future is definitely now !!!!
