She had an interestin start into her long lasting career. The Elisabeth Fisser was ordered by Fisser & van Doornum, Hamburg. The hull was build by Estaleiros Navais de Viana do Castelo (ENVC) in Viana do Castelo, further work was done by Zaanlandsche Scheepsbouw Maatschappij in Zaandam until they went bancrupt. Shipyard Van der Giessen de Nord in Alblasserdam finished the ship and delivered it on 1. Dezember 1972.
