Just North of the Passenger Terminal at Adelaide's Outer Harbor is a public boat ramp and adjacent free parking - in fact it is in between Berths 1-4 and 6-8 [the container and bulk grain wharves]. The area is adjacent to the S.A. Yacht Squadron,and is easily arrived at by foot from the Outer Harbor Railway Station.
This spot is right in front of the swinging basin and of course like the other Outer Harbor viewing spot to the South, all ships coming from and going to Inner Port Adelaide must pass this spot.Again photography is way best in the fore-noon. There are no facilities here, but you can sit in your car for as long as you like!
