Bibby Line’s 1950 Vickers-Armstrong, Tyneside, built GLOUCESTERSHIRE is seen passing Portishead outward from Avonmouth on 14th January 1969, so fifty years ago today, on a voyage from Rangoon and Colombo to Liverpool.

EX-CINGALESE PRINCE-64 (she took the Shaw Savill & Albion name of GALLIC between 1960 and 1962)

Later: 1971 CRESCO (Ferguson International Shipping Co., Hong Kong)

She finally arrived at Whampoa on 17th September 1972 for breaking
